Hard disks ICT
A hard drive´s disk will spin between 5400and 7200 RPM. The discs in a
hard drive are called platters.
On each disk there are tracks, where the information is saved. Tracks added
together make cylinder.
The number of tracks on one disk/platter = number of cylinders in the
hard drive.
There is normally one read per disk/platter. The storage of a hard drive
is measured in GB´s or TB´s.
